I received my PhD from the Clinical and Research Psychology program at Concordia University and completed my internship at the McGill University Health Centre.&nbsp;My clinical focus and interests include working with ADHD, health disorders (chronic pain, irritable bowel syndrome, fibromyalgia), concussion, and OCD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I grew up on the&nbsp;East Coast, and am currently living in Montreal, Quebec with my partner and two kids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What is Cognition Clinic?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the Cognition Clinic (<a href=\"https:\/\/cognitionclinic.ca\/\">https:\/\/<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/cognitionclinic.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cognitionclinic.ca<\/a>), our mission is to provide science-based psychotherapy and assessment services that positively impact clients\u2019 lives. The Cognition Clinic was founded in 2018 with the intention of providing assessments and therapy to adults with ADHD. The clinic continues to specialize in ADHD, but also offers assessments for learning disability, autism spectrum disorder, or for anyone interested in understanding their cognitive functioning. The team at the clinic also provides therapy services for a variety of difficulties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why did you get into this line of work? What\u2019s the best thing about it?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I became a clinical psychologist because I&#8217;ve always been fascinated by the human mind and behavior. From an early age, I found myself drawn to understanding why people think, feel, and behave the way they do. I wanted to help individuals navigate through life&#8217;s challenges, overcome obstacles, and achieve mental well-being. This profession allows me to blend my passion for understanding human nature with the opportunity to make a tangible difference in people&#8217;s lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What does it take to be great at what you do?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To excel as a clinical psychologist\/neuropsychologist, one needs a blend of curiosity, expertise, and dedication. Curiosity drives exploration into the complexities of human behavior, while expertise allows for the application of evidence-based practices tailored to individual needs.
