My journey in the world of semiconductor technology began during my doctoral studies at Harvard University, where I pioneered a new piezoelectric actuator driver IC architecture. This innovation laid the foundation for the establishment of Bor\u00e9as in 2017, and since then, I’ve been deeply committed to leading our team in transforming the landscape of haptic technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why did you get into this line of work? What\u2019s the best thing about it?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I am passionate about pushing technical boundaries and making an impact on people. The semiconductor industry for me was a natural choice. After all, the progress in the semiconductor industry is what had the most impact on the daily lives of people. Without the advances in semiconductor technology, there would be no smartphones, no cloud computing, no AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where Bor\u00e9as operates at the frontier of semiconductor and human-machine interface technology, it is mostly an unchartered territory where plenty of innovations are possible which makes it very dynamic and exciting. Since any device a human physically interact with has an HMI, it makes our potential impact on people all over the world very significant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What does it take to be great at what you do?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Starting a semiconductor company from a blank sheet of paper requires a broad range of skills from deep technical understanding of the field to investor networking to finance the first years of the company operations. If I had to name only one skill, I would say extreme perseverance to navigate the roller coaster that starting a technology company represents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
