Tell us a little bit about yourself and where you are located.
I was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario and absolutely love this city. I live with my boyfriend and our two small rescue dogs, Shadow and Snickers. I am the sole owner and operator of Must Love Dogs Pet Care Services. For over 8 years now, I have had the pleasure of spoiling and pampering pets in Hamilton. I am now expanding and introducing a new service “Wedding Dog Attendant” that will see me spoil dogs in the GTHA, Kitchener/Waterloo/Guelph, Brant County, and Niagara. Outside of work, I am an advocate for workers rights in Ontario.

Must Love Dogs Pet Care Services (https://mldpetservices.ca/) offers professional dog walking, cat and dog sitting, small dog grooming, and now Wedding Dog Attendant services. I am a professional member of Petsitters International, Canadian Dog Walkers Association, and the Dog Groomer of Ontario. I strive to provide the best care for each pet for their individual needs. All my services are tailored to each pet’s needs. I provide peace of mind for clients when they need a trustworthy and loving care provider for their pets.
Why and how did you get into this line of business? What’s the best thing about it?
I adopted a 13 month old Shih Tzu in 2016, who is now my company mascot. He is my first dog, and I realized how much more care and attention dogs require. Shortly after, I researched pet care during the daytime and started my own company with many thanks to the Hamilton Small Business Centre. The Small Business Centre here in Hamilton, Ontario is a great resource for small business owners to learn how to start and grow their business. The best part of my day is spoiling and pampering pets in Hamilton, Niagara, Brant, and Toronto.
What does it take to be successful at what you do?
To be successful is to be passionate about what you do. The passion to strive to be the best, to continue in learning and education, and my favourite, my passion to improve the bond between each pet and their owner.
